Farm Theme Saves Kansas Elementary School From Closing

After low student enrollment threatened to close this K-4 school in Walton, Kan., then Newton School District Superintendent suggested turning the school into a agricultural charter. It now has more than double the student population with a waiting list for kindergarten to 2018, and the students are not only learning life skills but are applying math and science concepts to real life applications.
