Early Warning Weather Sirens – a series

This is a series addressing the lack of early warning weather sirens in Montgomery County, Md. The articles were published throughout the summer of 2011, from May to July, and was inspired by the EF5 tornado that hit Joplin, Missouri May 22, 2011. Motivation to pursue the story even further was then fueled by the EF3 tornado that hit Springfield, Mass. a few days later on June 1, 2011.
