Veterans participated in a 5-day event hosted by the Wounded Warrior Project. The rehabilitative cycling program, called Soldier Ride, provides combat-wounded veterans an opportunity to return their active lifestyles after returning from combat. The program was started in 2004 when Chris Carney rode his bike over 4,000 miles from Montauk Point, N.Y. to California.
